During the Khidr week, a special dish (kavut) made from wheat and water is prepared that has to rest overnight. Every family member wants something special. The idea is that these wishes will come true if Khidr comes by overnight and leaves a mark on this food. This food is distributed in the neighborhood the next day. Everyone tries to taste food from all families in order to increase the likelihood of having tasted the food that Khidr has blessed. | qavute (qavuta Xızıri) [din.] |
