Bill Lindsay scored with 56 seconds to go in regulation and struck again at 10:38 of the overtime period to lift the Kölner Haie to a memorable come-from-behind win in Game 4 against the DEG Metro Stars. The Haie won 4-3 in front of 18,698 at KölnArena Thursday to knot the best-of-five semifinal series at 2-2 and force a Game 5 showdown in Düsseldorf Sunday. more>>>

The Berlin Eisbären have reached the DEL Finals for a third consecutive time. Denis Pederson led the way with a couple of goals as the reigning champions won at home Tuesday to sweep their semifinal series against the Hannover Scorpions. In the other best-of-five series, the DEG Metro Stars took a 2-1 lead by routing the Kölner Haie at home in Düsseldorf. more>>>

Pierre Page's team beat the 7th-seeded Hannover Scorpions on the road Sunday to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-five semifinal series. Defending DEL champion Eisbären Berlin and the Düsseldorfer EG Metro Stars won the opening games of their respective semifinal series Thursday. Steve Walker scored 39 seconds into overtime as Berlin came back from a two-goal deficit against the Hannover Scorpions. In Düsseldorf, Peter Ferraro's goal at 9:30 of the middle frame went down as the game-winner as the Metro Stars held on for a 3-2 home win over the Kölner Haie. more>>>

Daniel Kreutzer scored his second straight game-winner to lift the DEG Metro Stars to the DEL semifinals for the first time in a decade. Also on Sunday, the Hannover Scorpions forced a Game 7 against ERC Ingolstadt with a big home win. An era came to an end in Kassel as the Huskies, a DEL charter member in 1994 and finalist in 1997, will be relegated to Division 2 after their fourth relegation series loss to first-year team Duisburg Füchse. more>>>

Defending DEL champion Berlin Eisbären became the second team to reach the semifinals in the German Elite League Playoffs Thursday. Berlin skated to a home win over the Krefeld Pinguine. Ingolstadt and Düsseldorf also won at home to get within a win of the final four, respectively. In the relegation series, first-year team Duisburg Füchse is only one win away from sending DEL charter member Kassel Huskies to Division-2. more>>>

Defenseman Brad Schlegel recorded three assists as the 5th-seeded Kölner Haie completed their first-round sweep of the 4th-seeded Nürnberg Ice Tigers with a 6-2 at KölnArena. In other first-round action in the DEL playoffs Tuesday, defending champion Berlin Eisbären recorded its third straight win over Krefeld and is only one win away from joining the Haie in the semis. Meanwhile, the other two series are wide-open. Both Hanover and Hamburg recorded home wins to knot their respective series at 2-2. The Kölner Haie are only one win away from the DEL semi-finals after rallying for an overtime win at Nuremberg Sunday. In Berlin, the top-seeded Eisbären even managed to erase a two-goal deficit to take a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven series. ERC Ingolstadt and the DEG Metro Stars also recorded home victories to go up 2-1 in their respective first-round series. In the relegation battle, the Duisburg Füchse squandered an early three-goal lead but bounced back with an overtime win. more>>>
