SCTV: Website Update 6

I've done a few more updates to the website and finally it is now IE 5.5+ and Firefox compatible

It still has a few smaller bugs, but I'm working on it :-)

latest feature the Vod-db: YouTube match-up database
This works basically like a replay database as you can see by the newly added search bar above.

search functions: eg: players , maps, race-matchup

anyone can add a VOD-link from YouTube with a description

it is also modified so you can add ready made playlists that were organised at YouTube.

So if you have a few cool YouTube-Vods in your favorite list just link it up with a nice description and all relevant data.

The reason why I made it is because I'm not really finding stuff I want to see using YouTube or google search functions.

I've made an automated system, using my developer profile @ YouTube, but the results it comes up with are simply crap! so I started to adjust the filters even more but the search ques misses relevant vods because it's based on the Google search and the YouTube tags. Info's like races, match-ups, maps are mostly missing. and ignored

So I've made a semi-automated system meaning, that the extra data provided by YouTube can be integrated, but the initial info and links will have to be submitted manually by humans .

Personally I will add a few links every 2-3 days and with a bit of luck the database will grow!

This website is long from finished and is nothing like the "TLPD" and never will be (good job by the way^^) , but I'm more into finding visuals rather than stats :-)
By the way around ~100 YouTube vods of the so far 500+ at "TLPD" were uploaded by me. I'll just credit myself for that -.-vV

Note:
please keep in mind, this website has a personal note and is a hobby mainly for my own amusement, it is not thought for community building or up to date sc scene info's otherwise I would have installed a member & community system years ago and gone around doing all in a totally different fashion!

This Homepage is a one man show and is hand coded using a Notepad and written in Perl, I hope some of you visitors do appreciate this and ignore some of the bugs you will run into every now and then.

Basically I'm ignoring ALL SC2 Forums & Hype and eagerly waiting for the SC2 release. So until then, SC-Vods & streams will stay my hobby for the moment ^^

The website has around 900 Vods split up into 3 databases using mainly the YouTube playlist function!
Alone the Mixed/Movie section has around 100+ fan & highlight Vods.

overworked the VOD-DB Single VOD player
all info-boxes work now VOD,players, maps, teams

added a music on-off switch to VOD-db

updated navigation

sized blog category option down

speed up the perl code for a better performance

With this update I have made a proleague section for all the availabe Youtube Uploads done by "Jon747" aka "BaeZZi"! All Vos are organized into dates with a hookup to the player-db that uses normal section links and Playlist infoboxes
infoboxes:
You will be able read most info that is available in the playlist description : eg Team, Date, player-matchup and Map.

rebuilding all db's and scripts @ the moment to link up all players with the ProGamer + Player + Team + Vod Galerie

I'm not sure if I should integrate the map gallerie, because that would mean to update all the map data

some pages will function properly others wont, I'm working on it ^^ :-)
