GIGA Digital Television GmbH will launch the GIGA 2 TV channel soon. GIGA 2 broadcasts around the clock and concentrates on eSports even more than GIGA 1 does. GIGA 2 offers live tournament matches in full length and brings you eSports events completely live. Exclusive content is the core for this new channel, as content is shown on GIGA 2 before it is broadcasted on GIGA 1. Besides the current games, new games will play a big role as well, as we will grant them exclusive test reports. GIGA 2 will produce 8 hours of new content daily and will be broadcasted in both German and English.
GIGA 2 can be received on both the Abo-transmitter on IPTV and on the internet. Minimum age requirement for a GIGA 2 subscription will be 16.

"The Giga.de eSports development is quiet pragmatic especially looking at them trying to get content and players in the past years for broadcasting.
It all started off with a German run League that was held in German language with relative good prize money. After about 5-7 Seasons they gave up running there own tournament because the lack of players and the ladder abuse that was going on. The next step was to find players/content, so they made a deal with the ESL. Finally they have now come up with the conclusion to broadcast in English, reaching more players and viewers through out Europe...! That must have taken a lot of brainstorming..... omg they could have had that in 2003. So it took them 3 years to make a logical step and eSports in Europe is born.

Well done Laser-brains, about time too.

But as we all now know how slow the Giga management is, they will most probably turn an eSport channel into a CPU Entertainment Shopping channel instead of finding real Sponsors like Banks, Fon Companies or Sweet- manufacturers. They don't need new Ideas, the Koreans have been showing the world what there is to do for the past 7 years.

Basically that is what happens if your management gets there "INFO" from a bunch of German fps_doug clones!
