Winger David Oliver had to leave in the first period after injuring his thigh in a collision behind the net. The 30-year-old will undergo further examinations upon his return to Munich.
In the final twenty minutes, the Barons also lost youngster Peter Abstreiter. The 21-year-old lost a couple of teeth after a deflected puck hit him right in the face. He was immediately taken to a local hospital.

Midway through the second, Peter Douris put the Barons ahead 2-1 on his third shorthanded goal of the season – a lead they would hang on to till the final horn, thanks in large part to great goaltending by Boris Rousson. The Barons were outshot 47-28.
