Munich, Germany - Already eliminated from playoff contention, Team Germany rounded out the Torino Olympics with a 2-0 loss to Finland Tuesday. Niko Kapanen and captain Saku Koivu, who also recorded an assist, scored for the Finns who head into the Quarterfinals with a perfect 6-0 record.

The competition is over for the winless Germans who will finish in 10th place. The team only managed two ties, against host Italy and Switzerland respectively.

"It was a tournament of missed opportunities", said German captain Stefan Ustorf. "At the moment, we don't belong to the top eight nations in the World."

In the IIHF World Championship system, Germany is not even among the top-16 anymore. So the main priority for new head coach Uwe Krupp will be the B-Pool World Championships in Amiens, France this spring.
