Like Edmonton's Mike York, who signed with DEL rival Iserlohn Roosters in early June, both will only play in Germany if the NHL 2004-05 campaign is postponed by a lockout.
Hecht arrived in the Adler training camp today and will spend the whole pre-season in Mannheim. However he will not participate in any exhibition games. Butenschon is

A native of Mannheim, Hecht played four DEL seasons with the Adler before joining the St. Louis Blues organisation in 1998-99.
