David Roberts scored a couple of goals as the Eisbären erased a three-goal first-period deficit to down the Hamburg Freezers after penalty shootout,
4-3 (1-3, 1-0, 1-0, 1-0). Hamburg shocked Berlin eight minutes in when Andy Schneider and Jesse Belanger scored back-to-back shorthanded goals only 35
seconds apart. Peter Abstreiter added a goal to put the Freezers up 3-0 with under seven minutes to go in the first. But a late tally from Roberts
got Berlin back into the game. A second-period shorthander by Kelly Fairchild and Roberts's second goal of the night at 12:40 of the final
period evened the score at 3-3, sending the game to an OT shootout decision where Steve Walker sealed Berlin's comeback win.Kassel beats Cologne back-to-back
